Vote for Rosie Radford on 8 March

Rosie Radford

Rosie will be a familiar face to many of you from her stall in Oswestry Market. Rosie recently left the market to open her own cheese deli on Leg Street in Oswestry Town Centre so you might recognise her from there too.

"I have lived in Oswestry for 30 years and care passionately about our town. I want to ensure that Oswestry continues to be a great place to live, work and raise a family."

My priorities for Oswestry

If elected I will support our existing Green Party Town Councillors to build a better future for Owestry. Read my pledges below.

  • Fight for local health services. I have worked in the NHS locally for 14 years. I will fight to ensure appropriate health services are accessible for local people.
  • Represent you. As a local campaigner I attended every meeting of the Markets and Car Parks Council Committee over the last 5 years. As your councillor I will prioritise attending council meetings to represent you.
  • Support a sustainable local economy. I chaired the Market Traders Group for the last three years. I want to make Oswestry a place where thriving local businesses serve the needs of the local community.
  • Ensure services for children. I have two young children. I will work to ensure they continue to have access to services such as a library, youth club and parks.
  • Join the strong local Green Team. Oswestry has five Green Party Town Councillors who are already making a real difference. I will add to and support the incredible work that they are doing across our town.
  • Protect our local heritage. Places such as Old Oswestry hillfort are part of our unique heritage. I will campaign to protect these special places and keep them safe for future generations.

Many parties claim to be protecting our services and environment but fewer take action. Over the last few years the Green Party in Oswestry has been at the heart of the campaigns to protect our way of life, from opposing fracking to protecting the hillfort, tackling empty shops and improving road safety.

Did you know?

Oswestry has five Green Party Town Councillors. A strong local team, all working together to address the issues that matter to you.

Rosie Radford is part of our Green Party Support Network, helping with campaigns and projects.
