Shrewsbury Civic Society present A Forum on the North West Relief Road.
The Civic Society is a completely independent charitable organisation, and has not to date expressed an opinion as to whether or not it supports the Project; however, they have decided to organise an Open Forum in order to give their members and the general public an opportunity to learn more about the Project, and to ask questions of those who are involved in various capacities and who either support or oppose the project.
Shrewsbury Civic Society has often been asked by their members and by the general public as to whether we have a view on the proposed North West Relief Road (NWRR), given that it represents such a major project. We would like to offer this opportunity to hear both sides of the debate from the experts in the field in order for you to make an informed decision.
Speakers who have provisionally agreed to attend include Peter Nutting, Leader of Shropshire Council, Mark Barrow, Executive Director of Place, Shropshire Council, Alun Morgan, Head of Highways, John Whitelegg Visiting Professor, School of the Built Environment at John Moores University, Liverpool, and Peter Gilbert of Sustainable Transport Shropshire among others.
The Forum is open to all interested parties and admission is free. Book your place here.
