24 February 2017

Following the election of Duncan Kerr to Shrosphire Unitary Council last year, on Saturday the 25th February Amelia Womack Deputy-leader of the Green Party of England and Wales will be coming to Oswestry to talk to Green Party members and residents.

As one of the youngest people in a leadership position of any political party, Amelia is particularly interested in hearing from young people about life in Oswestry, and talking to them about their hopes for the future and what they expect from their elected representatives. She is inviting everyone interested in the youth of Oswestry to a public meeting at Hermon Chapel Community Arts Centre on Chapel Street, Oswestry at 11.30am on Saturday 25th February.

Amelia has also expressed interest in meeting other people in Oswestry and through-out Saturday she will be out and about in the market, town centre and on the streets of the town in support of the many Green Party candidates who will be standing in the local elections in May. If you see her come and say hello, she might show you that politicians are not all the same!
