Duncan KerrIn last Thursday's elections to Shropshire Unitary Council an amazing 30% of voters in Oswestry backed a green candidate. When it came to count the Town Council votes, support was even higher at 34% propelling five green Councillors onto the Town Council.

Speaking about the results Duncan Kerr said "I would like to thanks every single person who voted or supported us, it was a spectacular team effort. I know  that Mike Isherwood, Nikki Hughes, Barry Edwards and Olly Rose will bring life, knowledge and vitality to Oswestry Town Council. The Green Party in Oswestry will shortly be launching our programme of Green Surgeries to help Oswestry people get the advice and support they need in these difficult times. We will also be keeping residents informed through regular newsletters which we are busily writing now!. Anyone who is interested in meeting and working with us on building a positive, inclusive and vibrant town is welcome to come to our open meetings on the first Thursday of each month in Hermon Chapel Arts Centre on Chapel St at 7.30pm".
